A MERRY MIDWINTER
Nibbles & drinks - Baking for pleasure - Giving good books – A pantomime - Seeing old friends - Three wise women - After dinner games - Quiet days at home - Songs about snow - Making decorations
Christmas time overflowing with meaning, yet sometimes the chance to take stock, remember absent friends and think of others seems to disappear among the flurry of preparations. How much better then to weave in a quiet side this December, to celebrate the whole midwinter season, making advent a more contemplative, less perfect but just as joyful a place. Where suppers with old friends, silly jumpers and the odd Blue Peter-style decoration feel right at home. This is a countdown to Christmas, The Simple Things way.
